Abstract: ABSTRACT A disposable syringe tip for dental composite materials, compatible with both standard compule/cartridge and bulk-fill composite delivery systems, incorporating an integrated optical bubble detection system. The tip is fabricated from optically clear polymer and houses a micro- LED light source and a paired photodetector positioned across the composite flow lumen near the base of the tip. As composite material flows through the lumen during injection, the optical sensor continuously monitors light transmission through the material stream. The presence of an air bubble within the flowing composite causes a characteristic and detectable change in light transmission, triggering an immediate dual alert: a visual LED indicator on the tip body illuminates, and a miniaturized piezoelectric element emits an auditory beep. Both alert channels activate simultaneously, prompting the clinician to cease injection, clear the void, and resume placement with confidence. The tip is a single-use disposable unit, designed to attach to existing composite delivery gun platforms without modification. This invention introduces an objective, real-time quality control step at the precise point of composite delivery, preventing the incorporation of voids into direct restorations and improving their structural integrity, marginal seal, and long-term clinical performance
