Abstract: The present invention relates to a Smart ID Card System for identity verification, attendance management, and access control. The system comprises an NFC-enabled smart card, a smartphone-based biometric authentication module, a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) proximity verification module, a GPS-based location validation module, a cloud database, and an administrative dashboard. Upon tapping the NFC-enabled smart card, the system initiates authentication through a registered smartphone, wherein the identity of the user is verified using biometric authentication without requiring a biometric sensor to be integrated into the ID card. The BLE and GPS modules further validate the proximity and authorized location of the user. Upon successful verification, attendance or access information is recorded and synchronized with the cloud database. The administrative dashboard provides centralized monitoring, attendance management, authentication records, report generation, and notification services. The system provides a multi-layer authentication mechanism for reducing proxy attendance and unauthorized access while minimizing the need for dedicated biometric hardware.
