Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a smart helmet and monitoring system (100) for miners for monitoring hazardous conditions and emergency events during mining operations. A gas sensing module (103) detects gas concentration and a temperature sensing element (104) detects surrounding temperature, while an impact sensing element (105) detects an impact or sudden movement of the helmet. A controller (106) processes the detected signals and compares the gas concentration and temperature with predefined thresholds. When a hazardous condition or impact event is detected, the controller (106) activates an audible alarm (107) and visual indicator (108), and transmits the detected condition through a communication unit (109). A location module (110) provides miner location information for transmission to a remote monitoring device. An SOS switch (111) allows the miner to manually initiate an emergency notification. A backup power source (112) maintains system operation during power interruption. The figure associated with abstract is Fig. 1.
