Abstract: ABSTRACT The growing elderly population requires assistive technologies that enhance independence, safety, and daily routine management. Many conventional alat'm clocks lack large displays, intelligent reminders, emergency features, and remote monitoring capabilities, making them unsuitable for senior citizens with reduced vision, hearing impairments, or memory decline. To address these limitations, an loT-enabled smart assistive digital alarm clock is proposed. The system is built using an ESP32 microcontroller integrated with a 7-inch high-contrast TFT display to provide clear and easily readable time, date, and reminder notifications. The device supports programmable alarms for medication schedules, appointments, hydration reminders, and daily activities. Multi-modal alert mechanisms including high-decibel audio output, visual flashing indicators, and optional vibration feedback ensure reliable notification delivery. Through Wi-Fi connectivity, caregivers can remotely configure alarms and monitor activity status using a smartphone interface. The system incorporates an emergency alert button that instantly sends notifications to predefined contacts during critical situations. An automated timer-based alarm management system ensures structured reminders throughout the day while preventing missed alerts. A rechargeable battery backup system ensures uninterrupted operation during power outages. The compact and ergonomic enclosure design enhances portability and ease of placement in home and assisted living environments. Manual side-mounted controls allow operation even without smartphone access, ensuring accessibility for non-technical users. By combining embedded systems, loT connectivity, structured alert management, and elderly-friendly interface design, the proposed device delivers a reliable, safe, and intelligent daily assistance solution.Overall, the system represents a modern, user-centered approach to elderly care support, improving routine adherence, emergency responsiveness, and quality of life throu• igi Tart and accessible technology.
