Abstract: SMART HEADLIGHT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATION THEREOF ABSTRACT A smart headlight system (100) for a vehicle is disclosed. The system (100) comprising a light dependent resistor (106), installed in a headlight enclosure (102) comprising a headlamp (104), of the vehicle, configured to measure incident light and generate a light intensity value. The system (100) is configured to receive and compare the light intensity value from the light dependent resistor (106); generate an off signal, when the light intensity value is less than the first threshold; generate an on signal, when the light intensity value is greater than or equal to the first threshold and less than the second threshold, and generate an orientation control signal, when the light intensity value is greater than the second threshold. The system (100) provides automatic control of the headlamp (104) and automatic beam adjustment according to measured light intensity, reducing battery consumption and glare toward an approaching vehicle.
