Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a smart gesture-to-speech and speech-to-text communication system (100) for bidirectional communication between speech- or hearing-impaired and other users. The system comprises a wearable sensor glove (101) having flex sensors (102), resistors (103), and an ADXL345 accelerometer (104), an Arduino UNO (105), a Bluetooth module (106), a smartphone (107), a Text-to-Speech engine (108), a microphone (109), a Python processing module (110), and a Deepgram AI engine (111). The Arduino UNO (105) combines finger bending and hand orientation data to generate and recognize gesture signatures, which are wirelessly transmitted to the smartphone (107) for audible speech generation. Spoken audio is captured by the microphone (109), processed by the Python processing module (110), and transcribed by the Deepgram AI engine (111) into text. The system supports predefined gestures, emergency gesture processing, and multilingual speech recognition for real-time assistive communication. The figure associated with the abstract is Fig. 1.
