MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641076014 A) filed by Kalasalingam Academy Of Research And Education on June 19, 2026, for Smart Floation Solar Photovoltaic System For Fault Detection And Water Purification.
Inventors include Dr. P. Aruna Jeyanthys; S. Prabhu Ram Karunya; V. Kiran Karthik; T. Lithesh; B. Neeraj Kumar; and Daksh Bhagat.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: The titled invention discloses an Al-based floating solar photovoltaic system that integrates renewable energy generation, real-time fault detection, and water purification. The system uses sensors (7) to monitor electrical and environmental 10 parameters such as voltage, current, temperature, and light intensity. A Tiny ML-based model (6) deployed on a microcontroller (5) analyzes sensor data locally to detect faults without relying on internet connectivity. A GSM module (8) is used to send alerts to users in remote areas. Additionally, the system includes a solar-powered water. pump (10) to circulate and purify water, improving water quality. The invention is 15 designed to be low-cost, energy-efficient, and suitable for rural and small-scale applications.
