Abstract: Modern farming needs continuous monitoring of the environmental conditions, crop health and safety of the farm. This project introduces an IoT Smart Farm Surveillance Rover for smart farm monitoring, surveillance and environment data collection. The rover’s brain is a Raspberry Pi 5. It is equipped with a 360° Raspberry Pi Camera Module for live video streaming using a 4G LTE SIM Module, enabling farmers to monitor their fields remotely from anywhere. The system also includes: • DHT22 Sensor for monitoring temperature and humidity • Fire sensor to detect fire • Ultrasonic Sensor for Obstacle Detection • IMU Sensor for motion and tilt sensing The rover uses both manual and autonomous modes. It communicates wirelessly with multiple ESP32 based soil monitoring nodes scattered around the farm to collect soil moisture data and upload it to a cloud platform. The rover is powered by solar charge and has a 24V LiFePO4 battery. The machine is equipped with a protective roof, independent suspension and high- traction wheels, which guarantee reliable work in difficult agricultural conditions. The integrated anti-theft system detects any unauthorized movement, triggers an alarm, takes a picture and sends a notification to the farmer with the GPS location. This web dashboard allows remote and efficient management of the farm through visualization of environmental data, live video, battery status, GPS location and security alerts.
