Abstract: In this invention, an intelligent attendance and presence recognition system based on advanced facial recognition and artificial intelligence techniques is disclosed for automating and enhancing attendance management processes. The system employs camera devices to capture real-time images or video streams of individuals, which are processed using image preprocessing techniques such as normalization, noise reduction, and feature enhancement. A face detection module identifies human faces, and a deep learning- based recognition module extracts unique facial features and matches them with stored database records for accurate identity verification. Upon successful recognition, attendance is automatically recorded along with timestamps and optional location data, eliminating manual effort and preventing proxy attendance. The system is designed to operate reliably under varying environmental conditions, including changes in lighting, pose, and occlusions, ensuring high accuracy in real-world scenarios. It supports simultaneous recognition of multiple individuals, making it suitable for large-scale deployments. Additionally, the system incorporates secure data storage through encryption and access control, and integrates seamlessly with institutional databases for automated reporting, monitoring, and analytics. Overall, the invention provides a scalable, contactless, and efficient solution that significantly enhances accuracy, security, and operational efficiency in attendance and presence recognition systems.
