Abstract: The Smart Earthquake Rescue Robot with Thermal and Vision-Based Victim Detection is an innovative system designed to support rescue operations during earthquakes and disaster situations. The main aim of this project is to quickly and safely locate trapped victims in dangerous and low-visibility environments where manual search efforts are difficult and risky. The robot uses a combination of thermal imaging and vision-based artificial intelligence to improve detection accuracy. The thermal sensor identifies human body heat even in darkness, smoke, or under debris, while the vision system uses deep learning models to recognize human presence through shape and movement. Real-time data processing is achieved using embedded computing, allowing faster decision-making and response. The robot is built on a mobile platform capable of navigating uneven and confined spaces typically found in disaster areas. It also transmits live video and sensor data to rescue teams, enabling remote monitoring and control. This system enhances the speed, safety, and efficiency of rescue operations. Future improvements may include voice detection, drone integration, and advanced analytics, making it a valuable solution for modern disaster management.
