Abstract: The present invention relates to a smart drying system (100) for processing poultry waste. The system (100) comprises a drying chamber (2) configured to receive poultry waste through an input hopper (1), and a plurality of trays (3) arranged within the drying chamber (2) for supporting the poultry waste during drying. An energy supply unit comprising a solar thermal collector (4) and an electric heater (5) supplies heated air into the drying chamber (2), while an air circulation unit distributes the heated air across the trays (3). Ultrasonic transducers (9) mounted along the drying chamber (2) facilitate release of bound moisture through ultrasonic vibrations. The system (100) further comprises an odour and pathogen treatment unit (7), an energy recovery unit (8), and a control interface (6) configured to regulate drying conditions based on monitored moisture condition. The invention also relates to a method for producing dried poultry waste suitable for hydrogen generation processing.
