Abstract: ABSTRACT The Smart Distraction Control System is designed to reduce distractions and improve concentration during study time. In today’s digital world, excessive mobile phone usage has become a major reason for reduced productivity among sturodenjectst . This p aims to provide a smart and automated solution that helps students remain focused while studying. The system uses a photodiode sensor to detect light emitted from a mobile phone screen and an ultrasonic sensor to monitor the presence of the student. An Arduino microcontroller continuously processes the sensor data and determines whether the student is distracted or focused. When distraction is detected, the system activates a buzzer and LED indicators to alert the user instantly. The project is designed to be simple, low-cost, and efficient, making it suitable for educational environments and personal study setups. Techniques such as sensor calibration, light shielding, and threshold adjustment are used to improve accuracy and reduce false detection caused by ambient light or sunlight. The system can operate in real time and provide immediate feedback to the user. This project can be further enhanced by integrating advanced technologies such as IoT, mobile applications, cloud data storage, and AI-based behavior analysis. The system can also be extended for use in classrooms, libraries, workplaces, and other productivity-focused environments. Overall, the project provides an effective and practical solution for distraction monitoring and focus improvement
