MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641109905 A) filed by Chennai Institute Of Technology on September 11, 2026, for Smart Disaster Early Warning And Auto-Response System.
Inventors include Mr. D. Nishanth; Mr. U. Naveen Kumar; Dr. M. Thanigaivelraja; Dr. Joly. M; and Dr. Sakthivel.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a Smart Disaster Early Warning and Auto-Response System designed to provide real-time detection and automatic response to hazardous conditions such as fire, gas leakage, and water overflow. The system integrates an ESP32 microcontroller with flame, gas, and water level sensors to continuously monitor environmental conditions and identify potential disasters at an early stage. Upon detecting any abnormal condition, the system immediately activates audio and visual alerts through a buzzer and LED indicators while simultaneously initiating automatic safety actions using a relay module. The invention also incorporates an automatic door unlocking mechanism to facilitate safe and rapid evacuation during emergency situations. The proposed system improves disaster management by combining multi-hazard detection, intelligent decision-making, and automatic emergency response within a single integrated platform. It is cost- effective, reliable, energy-efficient, and suitable for residential buildings, commercial establishments, industrial facilities, hospitals, educational institutions, hotels, warehouses, and public infrastructure. Furthermore, the modular design supports future enhancements such as IoT connectivity, cloud-based monitoring, mobile notifications, and AI-assisted predictive analysis, making it a scalable and efficient solution for modern disaster prevention and public safety.
