Abstract: The present invention relates to a smart convertible footrest and exercise pedal system integrated with a vehicle seat. The system comprises a convertible footrest platform 5 movable between a footrest configuration and an exercise configuration, a pedal assembly, a piezoelectric energy harvesting assembly, a power conditioning circuit, an energy storage unit, an electronic control unit, a sensing arrangement, and a communication module. During normal travel, the system functions as an ergonomic footrest. Upon deployment, the pedal assembly enables seated lower-limb exercise while the piezoelectric energy 10 harvesting assembly converts mechanical energy generated during pedaling into electrical energy for storage and operation of onboard electronics. The sensing arrangement monitors exercise parameters, and the communication module transmits operational information to an external electronic device. The invention improves passenger comfort, promotes blood circulation, reduces fatigue during prolonged travel, and utilizes otherwise wasted 15 mechanical energy within a compact seat-integrated construction.
