Abstract: The present invention relates to the development of an intelligent Smart Companion Robot powered by STEM-based Edge Artificial Intelligence (Edge Al) technology. The proposed system is designed to function as an autonomous, interactive, and educational robotic platform capable of real-time decision-making without reliance on cloud infrastructure. Unlike conventional robotic systems that depend on remote servers for Al computation, the proposed system performs all artificial intelligence processing locally on an embedded Edge Al processor, thereby minimizing latency, enhancing operational speed, and ensuring data privacy. The Smart Companion Robot integrates multiple sensing modules including a camera for vision-based processing, ultrasonic sensors for obstacle detection, voice recognition modules for natural human interaction, and joystick/manual control interfaces for hybrid operation. The Edge Al processor continuously collects, processes, and analyzes sensory data using trained machine learning models for object recognition, environmental awareness, and behavioral response generation. The robot is capable of autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance, object detection, and voice-command execution in real time. The system architecture is optimized for STEM educational applications, robotics competitions, research demonstrations, and intelligent embedded system development. The proposed invention provides a scalable, modular, and efficient Al- driven robotic companion platform that bridges the gap between theoretical STEM lear,njAgrand practical AT implementation
