Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a smart card based automatic vehicle speed control system with driver health monitoring for preventing road accidents. The system includes an RFID reader for detecting RFID tags installed in sensitive zones such as school zones, hospital zones, and accident-prone areas. A microcontroller identifies the detected zone and retrieves a predefined speed limit. A PWM-controlled MOSFET driver regulates the fuel pump input to automatically reduce vehicle speed without driver intervention. A heartbeat sensor continuously monitors driver health, and abnormal heart rate conditions trigger emergency speed reduction and alarm generation. An LCD display provides real-time status information. The invention improves road safety by integrating zone-based speed control and driver health monitoring in a single embedded system.
