Abstract: Navigating large educational campuses can be challenging for students, faculty, staff, and visitors, particularly in multi-storey academic buildings where conventional GPS-based navigation is ineffective. The Smart Campus Indoor Navigation and Voice Guidance System is an Internet of Things (IoT)-based solution designed to provide accurate indoor positioning and real-time voice- assisted navigation within a campus environment. The system utilizes technologies such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons, Wi-Fi fingerprinting, QR codes, or RFID in conjunction with a mobile application to determine the user's location and guide them to the desired destination. The proposed system offers turn-by-turn navigation with voice instructions, enabling users to easily locate classrooms, laboratories, faculty cabins, administrative offices, seminar halls, libraries, and other campus facilities. The voice guidance feature enhances accessibility for visually impaired individuals and first-time visitors, ensuring an inclusive and user- friendly experience. Additionally, the system can display floor maps, suggest the shortest accessible route, provide estimated travel time, and notify users of temporary route changes due to maintenance or restricted areas. The solution aims to improve campus accessibility, reduce time spent searching for locations, and enhance the overall user experience. It can also be integrated with institutional information systems to provide contextual information such as department details, event venues, emergency exits, and safety alerts. The proposed Smart Campus Indoor Navigation and Voice Guidance System is a scalable, cost-effective, and efficient solution that supports the vision of smart educational campuses by leveraging IoT technologies to create a seamless, intelligent, and accessible navigation experience for all users.
