Abstract: The current invention is related to a Smart Bus Attendance Management System Using Deep Learning-Based Face Recognition for Automated Student Identification and Transportation Safety. The invention introduces an automated attendance management system that utilizes image acquisition, image preprocessing, deep learning- based face recognition, attendance management, cloud communication, and real-time notification services. The facial images of students are acquired during boarding and deboarding with the help of onboard cameras and preprocessed with the help of deep learning-based recognition engine for generating facial embeddings for verifying the identity of students against the enrolled student templates available in the centralized database. In case of successful verification, the system automatically registers attendance data including the identity of the student, date, time, boarding/deboarding state, vehicle ID, and route details without duplicating the attendance entries. Attendance data is synchronize
