Abstract: According to the present invention, there is provided a Smart Bus Attendance Management System Using Deep Learning-Based Face Recognition for automatically detecting the students and accessing their attendance while boarding and alighting of school / college bus. The system combines computer vision, image processing, and deep learning algorithms to create a safe, contactless, and real-time attendance tracking solution. Students' faces are continuously recorded by one or more high resolution cameras when entering or exiting the bus. In the captured image, the image is pre-processed and faces are detected, and then unique facial feature embeddings are extracted using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based face recognition module, which is capable of achieving accurate student identification. Once the facial feature is extracted, it is compared with the central facial database and if found, the student's attendance is automatically recorded with student ID, name, roll number, class, bus number, date, time
