Abstract: Smart Building Emergency Response Coordination System and Method Abstract The present invention relates to a smart building emergency response coordination system and method for selectively managing emergency operations within localized building regions. The system comprises a plurality of emergency sensing devices (102), a building emergency controller (104), building subsystem controllers (106), a user interface (108), an evacuation guidance and alarm interface (110), and a communication interface (112). The building emergency controller (104) includes an event acquisition interface (104a), an emergency analysis module (104b), a localized hazard mapping module (104c), a response sequencing and dependency determination module (104d), a subsystem command coordination module (104e), and an autonomous operation module (104f). The controller (104) dynamically determines emergency propagation conditions and selectively coordinates elevators, access doors, HVAC systems, smoke exhaust systems, and evacuation pathways according to localized hazard conditions. The invention prevents secondary hazards by determining safe execution sequences for emergency operations and autonomously maintains emergency coordination during communication failure conditions.
