MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611073949 A) filed by Manav Rachna University on June 15, 2026, for Smart Badminton Shoe System For Movement Instability And Fatigue Detection.

Inventors include Dr. K. Deepa; and Dr. Nitika.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: Disclosed is a smart badminton shoe system comprising a shoe body with a sole assembly, a sensor carrier, an inertial sensing unit, a processor, a vibration actuator and a wireless communication module. The sensor carrier comprises heel impact, medial forefoot and lateral forefoot sensing zones arranged to generate regional load signals. The inertial sensing unit comprises an accelerometer and a gyroscope arranged to generate acceleration signals and angular excursion signals. The processor identifies a court-movement event interval from a ground-contact transition in the regional load signals and correlates, within the interval, a landing-impact value, a medial-to-lateral load-shift value and an angular-excursion value to generate an instability-risk output. The vibration actuator provides an in-shoe alert in response to the instability-risk output, and the wireless communication module transmits event data representing the instability-risk output.
