Abstract: Disclosed is a smart auto-deploy stand system for preventing bicycle falls, comprising an ESP32 microcontroller, an MPU-6050 IMU sensor for real-time tilt and motion detection, Hall-effect sensors for wheel speed and stand position detection, a solenoid actuator for stand deployment, and a MOSFET driver circuit. The MPU- 6050 and Hall-effect sensors continuously monitor tilt angle and angular velocity, sending real-time motion data to the ESP32 microcontroller. When an abnormal tilt exceeding a predefined threshold is detected and the bicycle speed is below a safe limit, the controller activates the solenoid actuator through the driver circuit, deploying the side stand automatically within milliseconds. The system features a dual-side stand mechanism providing balanced symmetrical support, preventing the bicycle from tipping in either direction. Hall-effect sensors provide positional feedback to confirm precise actuation, ensuring safe retraction and deployment cycles. The novel integration of real-time motion sensing with automated electromechanical actuation achieves proactive fall prevention that operates independently of rider input, representing a cost-effective, retrofittable solution for enhancing safety in existing and future two-wheelers.
