Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention provides an intelligent wearable assistive device for visually challenged persons which enables the person to become more mobile, independent and safe by providing an immediate awareness of the surrounding environment and auditory guidance. The invention consists of a light-weight spectacle frame incorporating imaging sensors, object recognition modules, light weight, artificial intelligence based processing units, and an audio commentary mechanism located near the user's ear. Embedded cameras and depth sensing technologies like LiDAR or infrared sensors continuously extract visual information from the surroundings of the user. Advanced computer vision and machine learning algorithms are used to analyze the captured data to identify, classify, and track objects, people, pathways, obstacles, vehicles, signage, and environmental conditions in real-time. Processed information is then transformed into useful and intelligible verbal descriptions by means of a speech synthesis engine and presented to the user via the bone conduction speaker or through a compact earbud incorporated into the frame of the spectacle. The commentary provides navigation assistance, obstacle alerts, identification of objects, tracking of human movement and contextual details like traffic, stairs, doors, benches, or landmarks. The system is also able to warn the user of any emergency situations by producing priority alerts when needed. The invention also provides customizable user settings, controllable through voice commands and/or touch controls and/or a mobile application interface, said user settings including audio volume, commentary frequencies, language settings and operational modes. The wearable device features a low-power, long-lasting battery system. The proposed invention provides a compact, discreet and intelligent assistive solution that greatly enhances the situational awareness for the visually impaired than conventional walking aids and simple audio alert systems. The invention is a wearable spectacle platform, which integrates artificial intelligence, real time image processing and adaptive audio feedback, to improve daily life activities for increased accessibility, safer navigation and independence.
