Abstract: ABSTRACT This invention discloses an advanced loT -based smart grid system designed to enhance energy efficiency, reduce peak-hour electricity consumption, and improve grid stability. Traditional power grids face several challenges, including inefficiencies in load management, high operational costs, and frequent power outages due to demand surges. The proposed smart grid system leverages Internet of Things (loT) technology to dynamically monitor, analyze, and control power distribution based on real-time environmental and consumption data. By integrating an ESP32 microcontroller, DS3231 Real-Time Clock (RTC) module, an LDR sensor, and a PEM-004T energy meter, the system can accurately track peak-hour usage, adjust load distribution based on ambient lighting conditions, and optimize power utilization in Realtime. The relay module facilitates automated control of electrical loads, ensuring minimal energy wastage. The cloud-based ThingS peak API further allows remote monitoring and data driven decision-making, thereby enabling predictive analytics and effident grid management. This intelligent and adaptive approach not only reduces peak-hour demand but also promotes energy conservation, ultimately leading to a more sustainable and resilient power infrastructure. Additionally, the system provides real-time insights that help in forecasting energy demand, enabling power grids to dynamically adapt to consumption trends.
