Abstract: The present invention relates to a smart adaptive side mirror adjustment system for vehicles that automatically determines and adjusts a suitable side mirror angle according to a height-related measurement of the driver. The system comprises an IR sensor for driver-presence detection, an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor for height- related measurement, an ESP-WROOM-32 microcontroller for sensing and control, a host-side machine-learning prediction system, and an MG995 servo motor for mirror actuation. When a driver is detected, the ultrasonic sensor obtains a distance measurement corresponding to the driver's position, which is processed as a height- related input. The measured value is transmitted from the ESP32 to the host computer through a delimiter-based serial communication protocol, where a trained regression model predicts a suitable mirror angle. The predicted angle is transmitted back to the ESP32, validated, and converted into a servo control signal using hardware PWM to automatically position the side mirror. In the absence of a detected driver, the system returns the mirror to a predetermined neutral position. The proposed system integrates driver detection, ultrasonic sensing, machine-learning-based angle prediction, serial communication, and servo actuation into a single adaptive arrangement, thereby reducing repetitive manual mirror adjustment and providing a consistent starting mirror position for different drivers
