Abstract: The present invention relates to a LPG fired continuous rice puffing machine with an integrated insulation system and an optimized rice puffing process. The machine comprises a feeding system (3), a puffing cylinder assembly (8), a heating system (11, 12), a driving system (9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16), an insulation chamber (1), a control cum display panel (2), and a mobile stand (4, 7). The puffing cylinder assembly (8) serves as the core unit, where preconditioned rice mixes with hot sand, facilitating continuous heat transfer and uniform puffing. The LPG-based heating system (11, 12, 17, 18) ensures controlled heating, while helical return pipes recycle hot sand for enhanced energy efficiency. The impeller and cone-shaped screen separate puffed rice from sand, ensuring a streamlined process. This small-scale, mobile, and energy- efficient invention offers a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to biomass-based puffing methods. It enhances productivity, quality, and workplace safety, catering to food processing industries and small-scale producers while ensuring optimal thermal efficiency and consistent puffing results.
