Abstract: A compact dual-band circularly polarized (CP) antenna for satellite communication is designed and fabricated using a hybrid circular and rectangular microstrip patch configuration. Fabricated on a high-performance Rogers R04003C substrate (), the antenna is engineered to operate across the C-band (7.85 GHz) and Ku-band (15.95 GHz) to balance robust signaling with high data rates. To achieve these dual-resonance characteristics and optimize performance, rectangular and circular slots are strategically integrated into the patch design, effectively extending the current path and enhancing the polarization purity. Experimental results for the prototype demonstrate reliable impedance matching with a return loss of -11.744 dB and - 10.298 dB, and corresponding VSWR values of 1.7049 and 1.8901, respectively.
