The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT SLIDING TYPE BRAKE CALIPER FOR DISC BRAKE HAVING THERMALLY ISOLATING INSERT ON THE REACTION SIDE A sliding brake caliper(10) for a disc brake, comprising: a caliper body(12) ar-ranged astride a brake disc(22) with an axis of rotation defining an axial direc-tion(A-A) and a first and second friction surface(22a;22b), opposed to each other, a first and second caliper body part(24;26) that face the first friction surface(22a) and the second friction surface(22b), and a bridge(28) that connects them; a first pad(14), slidable in the axial direction(A-A) relative to the caliper body(12), and a second pad(16), integral with the caliper body(12), configured to act each on one of the friction surfaces(22a;22b); a piston(18) configured to, in a braking action, push the first pad(14) against the first friction surface(22a); the caliper body(12) being driven in reaction against the second friction surface(22b); and an insert(20) in a thermally isolating material, interposed between the caliper body(12) and the second pad(16) to hinder the transmission of heat generated during a braking ac-tion.
