MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621106696 A) filed by Parag Upendra Bhalchandra; Suvarna Parag Bhalchandra; and Kabir Parag Bhalchandra on September 04, 2026, for Skin Hydration Assessment Strip With Moisture Interaction Layer And Physiological Sensing Regions.
Inventor includes Parag Upendra Bhalchandra.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT SKIN HYDRATION ASSESSMENT STRIP WITH MOISTURE INTERACTION LAYER AND PHYSIOLOGICAL SENSING REGIONS The present invention relates to a skin hydration assessment strip (100) comprising a skin-contact interface layer (102), a moisture interaction layer (104), a plurality of physiological sensing regions (106), and an indication layer (108). The strip (100) enables localized transfer of skin-derived moisture through the moisture interaction layer (104), which directs the transferred moisture towards the physiological sensing regions (106) for generating respective sensing responses. The sensing responses are correlated to generate a composite sensing response for hydration assessment. The physiological sensing regions (106) may include moisture, moisture recovery, electrolyte, electrical property, elasticity, or thermal sensing regions. The strip (100) further comprises a flexible substrate (110) and an optional electronic processing module (112) configured to process the sensing responses and generate a hydration-related indication. FIG. 1 will be the reference figure.
