Abstract: SkillBridge Collaborators is an AI-assisted web-based platform developed to connect customers with local skilled workers through a centralized and user-friendly digital environment. The platform is designed for service providers such as plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and other local professionals who often depend on informal methods such as word-of-mouth and personal contacts to obtain job opportunities. The system allows customers to register, search for required services, discover suitable workers, view detailed worker profiles, check their skills, experience, ratings, availability and completed work, and submit booking requests. A smart worker recommendation mechanism helps identify suitable workers by considering factors such as skill compatibility, location, experience, rating and availability. Once a booking is accepted, the customer and worker can manage the complete job lifecycle from booking to completion. For workers, SkillBridge provides a dedicated dashboard where they can manage their profiles, receive and respond to booking requests, track active and completed jobs, view customer feedback, maintain their work history and monitor earnings. The platform also provides a work-based verification mechanism where workers can submit supporting proof of their previous work. The system uses customer ratings, experience and verification status as part of the worker trust and verification process. Firebase is used for authentication, cloud data storage and real-time application data, while the worker dataset provides initial worker information. The system maintains dynamic information such as bookings, completed jobs, feedback and earnings, allowing the application to provide more accurate and consistent worker profiles. Overall, SkillBridge aims to create a trusted, organized and intelligent digital marketplace for local skilled workers, helping customers find suitable professionals more efficiently while providing workers with better visibility, job opportunities, digital reputation and earnings management.
