Abstract: A sitting aid device for elderly person, comprising a platform 101 positioned on ground surface near a bed accommodated with an elderly user in a resting position and installed with a pair of telescopically operated elongated frame 102 to extend and position with footboard of bed, an imaging unit 103 mounted on one of frames 102 detect exact location of user’s hands, a pair of telescopically operated links 104 configured with free-ends of frames 102 and attached with free-ends of a pair of straps 105 wrapped on a pair of motorized rollers to extend in sync with rollers for wrapping the strap 105 for allowing placement of a cushioned handle 107 connected between the straps 105 near user to allow user to grip handle 107, further the rollers rotate for wrapping strap 105 in collaboration with retraction of links 104 to pull user to aid user in sitting over bed.
