The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: A parabolic dish solar collector is provided in which rim angle, depth and focal length are variable on a single reflector. The system comprises a base stand carrying a vertical shaft and a tiltable foundation plate assembly actuated by a linear actuator and an azimuthal drive for dual-axis tracking. A circular reflector structure includes an outer and middle ring, outer flexible trapezoidal facets and inner flexible triangular facets. The outer and middle ring is driven axially by outer lead screws, and the triangular facets are driven axially by a central lead screw, both operated by stepper motors, so that dish depth and rim angle are continuously adjustable while maintaining an approximate parabolic profile. A focal point adaptor carrying a receiver is mounted on a rack and pinion with focal point driven by a pinion gear and DC geared motor to adjust focal length along the optical axis. Shading rings with light dependent resistors provide feedback for automatic solar tracking. The apparatus enables fine variation of rim angle, depth and focal length using one parabolic dish for research, development and educational studies of parabolic collector performance.
