A controller can execute a test comprising applying a condition to a battery pack comprising (i) a plurality of battery cells and (ii) a coolant; receive, from a sensor, data regarding at least one parameter associated with at least one of the battery pack or the coolant; determine, using the data from the sensor, a classification of the coolant for use with the plurality of battery cells; and provide an output regarding the test based on the classification of the coolant.
