The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a Simple EEG Headband for Alpha Wave Detection designed for low-cost, portable, and educational brainwave monitoring applications. The system is developed to measure and analyze alpha brainwave signals generated by the human brain using non-invasive electrodes placed on the scalp. The headband integrates lightweight dry electrodes, a signal conditioning circuit, a microcontroller unit, and a compact power source to provide real-time detection of alpha wave activity. The device captures weak bio-electrical signals from the scalp, amplifies them using a low-noise instrumentation amplifier, and filters them to isolate alpha frequency bands typically ranging from 8-10 Hz. The processed signal is then digitized and analyzed to indicate relaxation or calm mental states. Output results may be displayed through an LED indicator, mobile application, or serial data output for further analysis. The Simple EEG Headband is designed for students, researchers, and beginners who require an affordable and easyto- use EEG system. Unlike complex medical EEG devices, this invention focuses on simplicity, portability, and low power consumption while maintaining acceptable signal accuracy for educational and non-clinical use. The invention supports applications such as meditation training, stress awareness, basic neuroscience learning, and brain-computer interface experimentation. The compact design, energy-efficient operation, and minimal component requirement make the device suitable for widespread use in academic and personal environments
