Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for signaling associations between beam measurement resources and beam prediction resources. A user equipment (UE) receives configuration information with a first set of resources for channel prediction and association information indicating associations between a true subset of the first set of resources and corresponding resources of one or more second sets of resources configured for channel measurement. The one or more second sets of resources constitute the true subset. The UE measures signal characteristics on the one or more second sets of resources. The UE predicts, based on the association information and the measured signal characteristics, channel characteristics associated with one or more resources of the first set of resources which are not associated with the one or more second sets of resources according to the association information and transmits a report indicating the predicted channel characteristics.
