Abstract: The present invention provides an innovative side-entry cable gripper to provide quick, easy, convenient, and cost-effective way of assembly and erection of suspended cable/rod systems, where a cable/rod is inserted laterally into the cable gripper from any point on the length of the cable/rod, and not only through the ends of the cable/rod. And because of this feature, the sideentry cable can grip an already laid out tensioned cable/rod that is tied at both the ends, without a need to uninstall the whole cable/rod installation, for the gripper to be inserted from the ends of the cable/rod.
