Abstract: The rapid growth of smartphones has increased the risk of privacy breaches, unauthorized access, phishing attacks, and background data misuse. Users often remain unaware of the permissions granted to applications, unsafe links they open, or hidden activities occurring in the background. To address these issues, this project proposes ShieldPro Mobile Defense Application(SPMDA) a lightweight, multi-functional Android application designed to enhance user privacy and device security without relying on heavy machine learning or cloud-based processing. SPMDA integrates six essential security tools into a single application: App Permission Inspector, URL Safe Checker, OTP Safety Alert, Background Activity Monitor, Camera/Mic Sneak Alert, and Duplicate Junk Cleaner. Each module performs targeted security functions such as detecting unsafe URLs, monitoring camera/microphone access, identifying suspicious background activity, alerting users during potential OTP-sharing events, and cleaning duplicate media files to reduce accidental exposure. A central dashboard displays a Device Safety Score, giving users an intuitive measure of their smartphone's security status based on real-time heuristics. The system is implemented using Kotlin, Android Jetpack components, and MVVM architecture, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and efficient performance. All operations are executed locally on the device, preserving user privacy. By combining multiple security utilities in one application, SPMDA provides users with a comprehensive, user-friendly mobile security solution. This toolkit helps increase awareness, detect threats early, and promote safer smartphone practices. The proposed system is suitable for academic, research, and practical real-world deployment due to its lightweight, modular design and strong emphasis on user privacy and security.
