Abstract: The present disclosure proposes a moringa-leaf-based instant smoothie premix composition (100) and a method for preparing the composition using treated Moringa oleifera leaves, banana, milk, and a carrier agent, followed by freeze-drying and powder formation. The moringa-leaf-based instant smoothie premix composition (100) comprises 7 to 9 weight percentage of citric-acid-treated and blanched moringa leaves (102), 20 to 23 weight percentage of ripe banana (104), 65 to 70 weight percentage of standardized milk (106), and 2 to 4 weight percentage of maltodextrin (108). The resulting composition (100) exhibits reduced moisture content and water activity, thereby improving storage stability and limiting microbial and chemical deterioration. The composition (100) further provides reduced stickiness, improved powder stability, flowability, cohesiveness, handling, reconstitution, nutritional retention, and volatile-profile characteristics.
