Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION Tliis work describes the preparation of an edible nano-emulsion coating formulation using orange peel waste as the primary raw material for fruit preservation applications. Fresh orange peels were cleaned, dried, powdered, and subjected to ethanol extraction to obtain orange peel oil rich in natural bioactive compounds, Tl:ie extracted oil was incorporated into a mixture of lecithin, glycerol, and distilled water under continuous stirring to produce a stable cloudy white nano-emulsion, Tlie developed formulation is intended for edible coating applications to reduce moisture loss, delay ripening, minimize microbial spoilage, and extend the shelf life of fruits during storage. Tlie utilization of orange peel waste also promotes eco-friendly, biodegradable, and sustainable food preservation practices
