Abstract: ABSTRACT SHARING LIVE LOCATION FROM A VEHICLE The present invention discloses a vehicle system for sharing a live location of a rider on a vehicle, comprising a Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) (102) executing the Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS), with a rider companion application (106) stored on a Vehicle Control Unit (VCU). The vehicle system includes a joystick control unit (108) with a press-and-hold input for initiating live location sharing, and a communication interface (112) configured to transmit the location data to predefined contacts via a cloud-based Connected Bike Platform (CBP) (104). A display unit (116) provides a confirmation prompt to the rider, ensuring intentional location sharing. The vehicle system allows location sharing for a pre-set duration or until manually terminated by the rider. The integration of the CBP (104) ensures secure data transmission and storage, enabling on-demand access for emergency retrieval. This design enhances rider safety by enabling discreet, real-time location sharing while keeping the rider’s attention on the road, making it ideal for both solo and group riders.
