MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441103000 A) filed by Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited; and Robert Bosch Gmbh on December 25, 2024, for Sha2 Accelerator For Multi-Tree Hash-Based Signature Schemes..
Inventors include Dr. Suyash Kandele; and Dr. Vishal Saraswat.
The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: Abstract A SHA2 based hash-based Multi-Tree signature schemes is disclosed. The Multi-tree may comprise of several individual independent trees, such that the public key of a tree at a lower level may be signed using the private key of the corresponding leaf node of the tree at the level just above. The public key of the XMSS tree at a lower level may be signed using the WOTS+ private key of the corresponding leaf node of the XMSS tree at the level just above. Embodiments include private key generation, public key generation, signature generation, and signature verification. A hash function may be applied to form a pseudo-random function (PRF), taking as input various string, wherein the string starts with an opcode, and e.g., a seed, and at least the start of some of the strings have a global and/or local common start that can be precomputed.
