Abstract: Abstract : The motive of this invention revolves around the detection of up to 10 hazardous gases that are present in sewers, drainages, and septic tanks, where the gas levels keep fluctuating. Even today in many parts of the world manual sewage tank cleaning takes place which is a life- threatening activity due to the presence of these unusual fluctuations of hazardous gases like Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, ammonia, methane, hydrogen sulfide, and many more. Many innocent workers, when on the verge of cleaning activity, sacrifice their lives due to an increase in concentrations of these gases. In order to overcome this problem, we researched and developed a device based on Smart IoT and Automation technology which is “The SewYantra”.Our technology addresses the immediate need for compact, comprehensive solutions to monitor, detect, and rapidly warn of hazardous gases in sewers.SewYantra has been designed to mitigate this risk by providing the ability to monitor and detect up to 10 types of hazardous gases in sewers and drains. It provides real-time information and instant alerts with automated technology that goes a long way toward ensuring the safety and well-being of people working in these hazardous areas. The innovative design and automatic installation make SewYantra a state-of-the-art device capable of detecting up to 10 hazardous gases in drains and sewers..At the location of the septic tank, the SewYantra is installed effortlessly through an automatic gripper mechanism. Once available, it activates all sensors, sending real-time data to the Blynk mobile application and the Central Control Room. Gases such as hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, ethane, methane, benzene, and ozone are accurately detected and measured using air quality monitors. This unit is equipped with an integrated alarm system. It also includes a remote voltage and current sensor that can detect the presence of live wires in the tanks, providing extra safety and security to the workers. The use of lightweight materials and a compact form factor keeps the device sustainable and cost-effective. Object Detection gets effectively operated as we integrate Computer Vision into our WiFi camera module. Our Website records all the readings received from the device and keeps track in the database. Further, as we integrate the Machine Learning model along with FastAPI, as per gas readings, automatic solutions are generated by this centralized software and sent to Control Rooms and also Users' Whatsapp in order to take quicker actions to solve the arising problems. Two-way security and safety are ensured and making it fully automated makes the functioning very easy. So our device, The SewYantra, makes it possible to save the lives of millions of innocent workers not only in India but also in many countries.
