Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a contactless attendance management system (100) utilizing artificial intelligence and facial recognition for secure, real- time attendance recording. The system comprises a client layer (102) for image acquisition, an application layer (112) including a REST API gateway (114), authentication module (116), AI inference engine (118), report generation module (120), and ONX runtime engine (122), and a model registry (124) comprising a teacher authentication database (126), student embedding database (128), and file storage system (130). The AI inference engine (118) performs face detection, facial embedding extraction, and cosine similarity-based biometric matching for attendance verification. The system supports both live webcam and uploaded group images, generates attendance reports, and securely stores attendance records. The invention provides a scalable, secure, and efficient contactless attendance solution with improved processing speed, optimized resource utilization, and enhanced attendance accuracy.
