The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an AI system consisting of a combination of two large language models (LLMs), RAG capabilities, and a voice interface to conduct an efficient and cost-effective conversation on psychiatric screening. The system operates as a multi-agent pipeline comprising a conversational AI psychiatrist, intent- based cost-gated routing, retrieval-augmented clinical knowledge analysis, deep psychopathological assessment, therapeutic response generation, and integrated speech and voice interfaces. A key feature of the invention is the use of the small language model as an intent-based gatekeeper that evaluates each conversational turn and determines whether continued dialogue is sufficient or whether computationally intensive large-model clinical reasoning is required. Upon triggering analysis, relevant conversational context is retrieved from a clinical knowledge base and analyzed across structured psychopathological dimensions by the large language model. The resulting analysis is provided to the conversational model for generating an empathetic therapeutic response. The system further supports on-device speech recognition and browser-based text-to-speech conversion, thereby reducing computational and operational costs while enabling responsive AI-assisted psychiatric screening.
