MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641063689 A) filed by Nandha Engineering College on May 20, 2026, for Sentiment Aware Machine Learning Framework For Employee Burnout Prediction Using Workload Analytics.

Inventors include Mr. K Madhan Kumar; Ms. S Sridhanuseeya; and Dr. S Devi.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: Today's organizations are migrating towards more hybrid working patterns and high digitization. Employees are staying connected to their workplace and performing their job duties for extended hours. This may gradually lead to increased stress and mental exhaustion. Consequently, burnout and demotivation shall become two major issues in the workplace. Current approach for performance appraisal is mostly subjective and intermittent. As a consequence, early indication of employee burnout will not be known. In this work, an AI- based employee burnout and performance issues detection system is proposed. The system relies on employee workload data. Common machine learning algorithms such as Random Forest, Gradient Boosting and Neural Networks are used. The model is able to predict burnout risk and aid early detection. The experimental assessment conveys promising accuracy, implying AI can contribute towards enhancing employee productivity and efficiency
