Abstract: ABSTRACT SENSORLESS ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING SYSTEM USING MICROCONTROLLER INSTABILITIES A sensorless environmental monitoring system (100) comprises a microcontroller unit (10) configured to operate without dedicated external environmental transducers and a hardware polling layer (20) configured to continuously poll internal components of the microcontroller unit (10) to capture native electrical instabilities. The hardware polling layer (20) comprises a volatile memory block (22) configured to provide bit-pattern decay rate measurements, an internal oscillator (24) configured to provide phase delay and jitter measurements, and an unconnected analog-to-digital converter pin (26) configured to provide baseline voltage ripple measurements. A data acquisition module (30) aggregates the bit-pattern decay rate measurements, the phase delay and jitter measurements, and the baseline voltage ripple measurements into a streaming data vector. A sensor-fusion inference engine (40) processes the streaming data vector to determine environmental states by cross-referencing the native electrical instabilities from the internal components of the microcontroller unit (10).
