Abstract: The present invention relates to a sensor system designed for real-time monitoring of microbial stress induced by microplastics, belonging to the technical field of biosensors and environmental monitoring. The system comprises a sensing element that detects stress biomarkers on microorganisms, utilizing biological molecules such as antibodies and aptamers, chemical compounds like fluorescent dyes, or physical elements such as microscale electrodes. A transducer is connected to the sensing element to convert the detected biological signals into electrical or optical signals. These signals are then analyzed by a data processing unit, which transforms them into quantifiable results reflecting the stress level of the microorganisms. The system includes a communication module for remote data transmission and a non- invasive interface to ensure the detection process does not harm the microorganisms. The sensing element directly interacts with microorganisms or their environment, forming a cohesive unit with the transducer for efficient signal conversion.
