Abstract: Abstract Sensor Fusion Based Ingredient Identification and Consumption Prediction System The invention relates to a sensor fusion based ingredient identification and consumption prediction system for intelligent kitchen inventory management. The system comprises an embedded controller operatively connected to an RFID reader, a weight sensing assembly, a communication interface, a memory, and an appliance control module. The controller integrates RFID identification, weight measurements, historical inventory records, temporal usage information, and calibration parameters through a sensor fusion algorithm to estimate ingredient quantities and maintain validated inventory records. The system performs automatic tare compensation, digital filtering, confidence-based sensor validation, adaptive calibration, and conflict resolution to improve inventory accuracy and reject inconsistent measurements. Historical consumption behaviour is analysed to predict future ingredient depletion and generate proactive replenishment recommendations. Validated inventory information is utilized for recipe-aware appliance control and intelligent kitchen automation. The invention improves inventory reliability, minimizes food wastage in smart kitchen environments.
