Abstract: The present invention relates to a smart hygiene-detecting doormat system configured to provide automated footwear cleaning while promoting environmental sustainability and indoor hygiene. The system comprises a doormat integrated with moisture and dust sensors for detecting footwear contamination and a controller configured to selectively activate a dust collection module, a water spray and brush cleaning module, and an air-drying module based on detected contamination. The system further comprises an underground multi-stage water recycling assembly including a dirty water tank, mesh filter, sedimentation chamber, activated carbon filter, optional UV sterilization unit, and clean water tank for treating and reusing cleaning water. The modular architecture reduces water consumption, minimizes maintenance, and eliminates the need for disposable plastic shoe covers. The invention provides an intelligent, eco-friendly, and resource-efficient footwear cleaning solution suitable for hospitals, offices, educational institutions, residential buildings, and other high-footfall environments.
