Abstract: The rapid growth of electric vehicles has created a need for efficient and user-friendly charging systems. In this project, a sensor-based automatic wireless EV charging system is designed with battery status notification using an embedded system. The main objective of this system is to provide a convenient and intelligent method for charging electric vehicles without the need for physical connections. In this system, an ultrasonic sensor is used to detect the presence of a vehicle near the charging station. Once the vehicle is detected, the microcontroller activates the wireless charging module through a relay the power is transferred wirelessly from the transmitter coil to the receiver coil based on electromagnetic induction, allowing the battery to charge without direct contact. A voltage sensor is used to continuously monitor the battery level during charging. The measured data is processed by the microcontroller, and the battery status is sent to the user's mobile phone using a GSM module in the form of SMS notifications. The system also includes an automatic cut-off feature to stop charging once the battery is fully charged, ensuring safety and preventing overcharging. This project provides a simple, cost-effective, and efficient solution for automated EV charging. It can be further enhanced for real-time applications in smart parking systems and future electric vehicle infrastructure.
